Reading From The Past

The article Leanah and I read today was called "Righting The Wrongs". It was talking about how the Chinese people couldn't enter New Zealand without paying a poll tax. At first it was $10 and then the Prime Minister moved it to $100. In 2002 on February, Helen Clark gave the Chinese an apology for what had happened to their kind years ago. I found this story pretty interesting and full of information from the past.

This Is Tonga!

Terevaka And His Opportunities

On Monday last week, Leanah and I read a book called 'Terevaka'. The main message in this story was that if you explore then you'll be able to find opportunities you wouldn't find if you back home. I really enjoyed this story. The characters, how they broke the news to him and the artwork! I would like to read another story like that.
