Joyful Japan

Ever since I've started watching anime and heard that anime started from Japan, I've always wanted to go! I've wanted to visit Japan for awhile for that and so I could visit a cat cafe and read manga while I'm in the place I've always wanted to be which is Japan obviously!

I wonder what it's like to be outside sitting on a bench reading any book in general, surrounded by cherry blossom trees and the flowers falling off while the wind is blowing. If you imagine it, it's quite relaxing. I hope I'll visit Japan in the future.

Hi Riana
Its great to know that you're choosing Japan ( as the country you're learning about). Great explanation about your reason though. Great Job.

Kon'nichiwa Riiana!

Welcome back to the Summer Learning Journey programme. It is wonderful to see that you've joined us again this holiday. I'm thrilled to have you back!

I am also thrilled that you have chosen to explore Japan over the next few weeks. It is a stunning country - one of complete contradictions (differences). They have old world temples mixed with modern shops, stores and malls. It is quite a mixture!

I hope that you will really enjoy learning about Japan and sharing your knowledge of anime with us. I don't know very much about anime but I would love to learn!

Keep up the great work with your blogging. I am really looking forward to chatting with you over the holiday on our blogs!

All the best,

Rachel :)

Talofa lava Riiana,

Kon'nichiwa and welcome to the Summer Learning Journey! We are so happy to have you on board with us, and I'm looking forward to reading your blogs through your journey to Japan.

My name is Dan, and I'm working alongside Rachel and Mark over the summer. I'm lucky enough to be able to read your blogs and I'll be leaving comments as I go. If you want to reply to my comments then please do! I'd love to know what you think, or if you have any questions, feel free to ask away.

What a great start to your learning journey this blog is. I really like how you have been so descriptive when you're telling us why you want to go to Japan. Do you like cats too? I love cats and have two of my own, but sadly one of them passed away recently as she was very old. I'd like to go to a cat cafe too, they sound like a lot of fun!

I'm super impressed with the link you posted to your photo of the Japanese cherry blossoms, they are such beautiful flowers. I've never seen much anime before, but I'm looking forward to learning about it from you (hopefully!)

I can see you have already done quite a few of the learning activities, and I am really looking forward to reading them all! Keep up the great work Riiana, and I hope you are enjoying your holidays.

Sayonara,
Dan.

Hey Dan,

I never always loved cats. I was actually scared of them until I turned eight. I'm in love with them now. My mum says we can't have one because of its fur and my dad hates them. She keeps on saying that we should get a hairless cat and I saw a picture of one. They look quite weird.

Hi Riiana!

Well I'm glad that you like them now, they can be great friends :-) The fur does get everywhere though.. I am always picking fur off my clothes! But I don't mind too much. Hairless cats sure do look a bit odd though don't they?

Keep up the great blogging, and have a merry Christmas!

Dan.

Konichiwa, Riiana! What great reasons for wanting to visit Japan for your Summer Learning Journey! It would be wonderful to sit on a bench under the cherry blossoms in Japan one spring. I wonder if the blossoms will look the same as those at the Botanic Gardens?
